Nero's Last Stand

In an attempt to refill the treasury, I am taking a musical tour through Rome. It is not working, the people of Rome are getting iritated about my lack of purpose in the government. I have just been told that the Senate has condemned me to death. I can't let this happen. I won't let this happen. How can I prevent it? What can I do? If I flee? No, that won't work. If I...kill myself? Alas, it is the only way... I am sorry fellow Romans, but this is my last stand. I have to commit suicide... Goodbye...

A Hard Days Night

I have just realized that by Jupiter's Name,  A LOT of people don't like me. I just found out about a conspiracy against me, of course it did not work or else I would be speaking from the Elysian Fields. Once I found out I put to death all the people that had a part in the conspiracy. The people that took place in the conspiracy were put to death with out a trial, not that there had to be one, I know everyone who took place in the Pisonian Conspiracy. I can't let anything like this happen again, and I fear it will, because the treasury is going down, things are not looking well for Rome.

Fire in the Sky

Alas! Disaster has struck Rome. A Great Fire has burned a great part of Rome, including the Circus Maximus. This is not the greatest saddness to me, because I get to see what it was like to see the burning of Troy. The main reason I am sad is the fact that people actually think that I, the Emperor, did it to build my Domus Aurea (this was a nice addition, though). People actually went so far as to accuse me as telling about the Fall of Troy while this burnt (I didn't think people would find out). Alas, Tacitus started this rumor. People are getting very angry, so I am going to blame a new religious group, the Christians. I am amazed at how ungreatful people are because although I told stories about Troy, I let people use my gardens for shelter. I fear that my popularity is taking a down fall.

Short Lived

I was right, Claudius, after only 4 years with me as heir he is dead. Many say that is many different people, one of those suspected people is my mother, I fear it to be all too true. Since I was not of age, my mother took over the throne. After a while, I got sick of this and took her out of the equation and put her in a separate house. Just a little while ago, I was crowned emperor. I still know that there is not good blood between me and my brother, Claudius' child, so just yesterday I decided to permanently take him out of the equation. That same day, during my dinner party, I poisoned my brother. Mother is not happy because of this. I will keep everyone informed.

A New Emperor

Hello, fellow Romans, it is  a joyful day for me because Caligula is dead and Claudius is on the throne. I know what you are all thinking, how is this good for me? My mother, Agrippina the Younger, who is married to Claudius now, has been for a while trying to convince Claudius to adopt me. Just recently, I was adopted by Claudius. Because his son is younger than me, this means that I am now his heir. I fear that mother knows that I am not of age yet to be Emperor, I fear she is planning something bad and that it might have something to do with her and Claudius.

Hello, fellow Romans, and good day, but it is not one for me however. My mother, Agrippina the Younger, has been banished to the Pontian Islands. Because my father, Cnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus, recently died and I have no one to look after me. I am afraid I am going to have to live with Domitia Lepida, my aunt. I have also just gained word that Emperor Caligula has claimed my inheritance. So, Romans, I am afraid to say that my life is taking a downturn, and I am not even above the age of 16 years old.
